Starchild, you’re alone,
Feeling like you’ve lost your wings.
Starchild. you’re on your own:
Try to move on to better things.
And you can mend that broken wing
and learn again that you can fly.
Leave your sorrows far behind you and sing;
Take your spirit to the sky.
Starchild, it’s not so bad:
the pain will fade by and by.
It’s only one and one to add,
so tear down your walls and seek the sky.
Starchild, the sun is rising,
a chance to grow, a chance for flying.
Find your joy in realizing
there ain’t no crossroads in the sky.
